Nancy Temple Fleming passed away on April 6, 2026, at The Pickering House in Lancaster. She was born in Lancaster on January 23, 1949, to the late Glenn and Erna (Harwig) Temple. Nancy graduated from Lancaster High School in 1967.
Nancy devoted her life to her family as a stay-at-home mom. She worked a variety of jobs, most recently as a cashier in the cafeteria at Lancaster City Schools. She was a talented seamstress, organizer, home cook, and gardener. She made the most elaborate Halloween costumes, birthday cakes, Easter dresses, and even her own wedding dress. She was extremely handy around the house. If she wanted it done, she found a way to make it happen. She enjoyed camping and spending time with her family. Her favorite vacation spots were The Outer Banks, Myrtle Beach, and Lake Erie. She loved animals, especially dogs.
Nancy was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Patrick; daughters, Ali Fleming (Michael Wheeler) and Kelly (Brent) Beadle; grandsons, Colin and Mitchell Beadle; brother David Temple, and beloved dog Ginger. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Erna Temple; sister, Cheryl Temple Jenkins, and brother-in-law Wayne “Jinx” Jenkins.
Per Nancy’s wishes, Caring Cremation® has taken place through Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, and there will be no formal services held.
Memorial contributions can be made in Nancy’s name to FairHope Hospice and Palliative Care, 282 Sells Road, Lancaster, OH 43130, or The Fairfield Area Humane Society, 1721 Granville Pike, Lancaster, OH 43130.
