Norma J. Welch

Norma J. Welch 86 of Pleasantville, Ohio passed away on Monday, July 6. 2026 surrounded by her family. She was born on May 15, 1940 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Glenn and Dorothy Deardorff. She enjoyed decorating, cooking, and drinking her coffee.

She is survived by her loving family, Glenna Ankrom of Pleasantville, Rhonda (Tim) Brown, Vickie Bradford and Amy Steele all of Lancaster; nine grandchildren, Sarah (Chris) Fourman, Tiffany (Brian) Sunderland, Heather (Josh) Colopy, Bethany (Brent Blackman) Ankrom, Ashley Thrush, Ryan (Sydney McPhail) Ankrom, Brandon Simms, Noah Steele and Lauren ( Jeremy Jeffries) Steele; nineteen great-grandchildren, Colin Cheeseman, Colton (Hannah) Fourman, Kaedynce Long, Izzy Fourman, Ellie and Ebree Sunderland, Taylor (Nathan) Phillips, Carter, Hallie, Jace, Jackson, Mason Colopy, Layton, Ashton, Aaliyah O’Rourk, Peyton and Eli Thrush, Ryen Ankrom, and Andrew Jeffries; three great-great-grandchildren, Sophia and Sadie Cheeseman and Weston Mason; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Deardorff and two nephews.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Richard Deardorff, son-in-law, Clarence Bradford and two nieces.

Caring Cremation® is being handled by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, LANCASTER, OHIO.

A Celebration of life will be held Sunday, August 16, 2026 at the VFW Post 1380, 1131 Sugar Grove Rd., Lancaster, Ohio 43130 from 1-4 p.m.
