Pamela E. Schaffner, 78, of Baltimore, passed away on May 16, 2024. She was born to the late Bovin and Louise Gierhart on September 10, 1945 in Baltimore, OH.
Pamela graduated from Liberty Union in 1963. While in school she was a member of the band, chorus, and FHA. She enjoyed playing softball, basketball, and her tenor saxophone and clarinet. Pamela worked for the WNRK and WHOK radio stations as well as the Bob Evans corporate office in Columbus. She was a lifetime member of the Trinity United Church of Christ, and was a wonderful friend to all.
She is survived by her children, Kristin (Brian) Flanagan, Kerri (Mark) Rander and Jason (Holly) Schaffner; grandchildren, Aaron (Sabrina) Flanagan, Allison Flanagan, Cole Flanagan, Kendall Rander, Drake Rander, Hannah Schaffner, Riley Schaffner; great grandchild, Malachi Flanagan; brother, Greg (Laural) Gierhart; sister-in-law, Carole Gierhart; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bovin and Louise “Susie” Gierhart; sister, Shirley Farrell; and brothers, Ron and Gary Gierhart.
Caring Cremation® has taken place by the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME. A memorial service conducted by Rev. Craig Showalter and Rev. Jill Dunlap will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at 3:30 PM at Trinity United Church of Christ, 105 N High St, Baltimore, OH 43105. Family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service at the church.
