Patricia Jane Huth, of Lancaster, Ohio, will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her students, her church, and her community. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Al Huth; her sons, Chip Huth and Greg Huth; daughter in laws Stephanie Huth and Hollie Reeves, and her five grandchildren, Emmerson Huth, Greyson Huth, Allyson Huth, Wesley Huth, and Sylvie Huth.
Jane dedicated 35 years to teaching elementary school students in Lancaster City Schools, serving at both East and Tallmadge. Her long career reflected her commitment to children, learning, and the Lancaster community.
For decades, Jane shared her musical gifts as an organist at a United Methodist church in Baltimore, Ohio. She also enjoyed the fellowship and creativity of the Lancaster ladies’ quilting guild.
Above all, Jane was an amazing grandmother. She could be counted on to arrive with a “bag of tricks,” a book, and plenty of snacks, creating treasured moments with her grandchildren.
Jane’s generosity extended well beyond those closest to her. Over a period spanning several decades, she donated more than 20 gallons of blood to the American Red Cross—an extraordinary expression of her lifelong commitment to helping others.
She loved serving as scorekeeper during card games and especially cherished the time those games gave her with family and friends. Her warmth, generosity, and steady presence will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
A celebration of Jane’s life will be held November 14 in Baltimore, Ohio, at Johnson Smith Funeral home. 11-12 visiting hours, 12-12:20 service, a short video remembrance will follow and lunch nearby for those interested.
In lieu of flowers any donation to redcross.org would support causes that Jane felt strongly about and supported frequently during her life.
