Patricia Ann (Evans) Abrams, 86, entered eternal rest with her Savior on May 19, 2026, after an extended illness. Pat wanted it to be known that her faith in Christ sustained her throughout her life and prepared her for the promise of life to come. She was a devoted disciple of Jesus, a student and teacher of scripture, and a source of guidance and wisdom to many.
Patricia Ann Evans was born on October 6, 1939, in Possum Trot, in rural Gallia County, Ohio, to Lester K. and Erma Mae Evans. She graduated from West High School in Columbus in 1957 and Columbus Business University in 1958. She married Albert E. Abrams on December 14, 1958, her partner and friend of 67 years. She served as an executive secretary at North American Aviation in Columbus, briefly ran an upholstery and fabric business with Al in Columbus in the late 1970s, and was the secretary of Millersport United Methodist Church for 17 years. She retired in 2000. After beginning their life together in Columbus, Al and Pat also lived in South Vienna in Clark County, spent many happy years in Millersport, began their retirement in Bladensburg in Knox County, and in 2024, they moved to The Springs at Wyandot Trail in Lancaster. The last 23 years of her life, Pat was severely physically disabled, but that disability did not rob her of her sharp mind, her joy, her love of family, or of her ability to positively impact the lives of others.
Al and Pat raised three children together: Merri Anne (Schultz), Jon, and Bob. She was the proud grandmother of eight grown grandchildren and seven great-grandsons.
Pat is survived by her husband Al, her son-in-law Bill Schultz, her sons Jon (Jacquie Johnson) and Bob (Cathy); grandchildren Phillip (Devon) Schultz, Leslie (Masen) Gilbert, Halle (Tyler) Johnson, Greg Schultz, Deloris (Alex) Biggs, Gillian Abrams (Logan Essex), and Gavin Abrams (Natalie Geyer); sisters-in-law Martha Ann Brock and Pamela (Jim) Roth; beloved nieces Suzanne (Char) Hamilton-Ligo, Karen (Jerry) Bahn, Lisa Hamilton (John); and nephew Chad (Jayne) Dornquast.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Les and Erma Evans; in-laws Albert L. and Kathryn (Gahn) Abrams; her daughter, Merri Anne Schultz; and her grandson, Evan Swain Abrams.
Arrangements are being handled by Johnson-Smith Funeral Home at 207 S. Main St., in Baltimore, Ohio. The family will receive visitors at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 22 with services to follow at 2:00 pm. Pastor Steve Bush will officiate. Interment will follow at the Millersport Cemetery.
The family wishes to acknowledge with deep gratitude the love and care provided by the remarkable staff at The Springs at Wyandot Trail in Lancaster.
In lieu of flowers, the Abrams family asks that donations be made to Trilogy Health Services Foundation in memory of Pat Abrams. 303 N. Hurstbourne Pkwy. Suite 200 Louisville, KY 40222
