Paul W. Howdyshell

Paul Howdyshell age 90 was a resident of Lancaster, Ohio. Paul passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2026.

Paul sold cars for 30 years. He also worked building custom kitchen cabinets with his son Tim for 25 years. Paul really enjoyed fishing and hunting with Tim, too. Paul loved roses, he had 100 rose bushes in his yard. Any color, he had them all, and was very proud of them.

Paul is survived by his wife JoAnn; children Tim (Susie), Cindy, and Diane (Dave); and grandchildren Paul David, Seanna, and Nathan.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Ruth Howdyshell; and brothers Lloyd, Merle, and Garey.

The Howdyshell family would like to thank Landfair nursing home for all they did for him. Also, we would like to thank Krystal Miller, his hospice nurse for all the care she gave him, and helping him with all his pain.

Family and friends may visit Wednesday, August 5th. 2026, from 10:00 to 12:00 noon at the Frank E. Smith funeral home, 405 N. Columbus St. Lancaster, OH 43130. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon in the funeral home. Burial to follow in Maple Grove cemetery, Lancaster.
