Phyllis A. Kirby, 90 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Monday, June 9, 2025 at her residence.
She was born on November 14, 1934 in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire to the late Edwin and Ruth Tappan.
Phyllis was retired from Kings Furniture Store as a sales associate and she loved to sew and crochet. She really enjoyed doing her charcoal etchings.
Phyllis is survived by her sons, Robert Kirby, Jr. of Sabina, Ohio and John Ray (Joyce) Kirby of Lumberton, Ohio; daughters, Judith Ann Kirby of Oakhill, Ohio, Wanda (Roger) Fooce of Leesburg, Ohio and Nancy Kirby of Lancaster, Ohio; grandchildren, John Allen, David Allen, Gary Hughes, Joe Cordy, Jason Furguson, Joshua Kirby, Jerimiah Kirby, Jennifer Boots, Christopher Speath, Rebecca Gaffin, John Campbell and Victoria Kirby; several great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; brother, William (Nancy) Tappan of Maine; sister, Barbara Colvin of Alabama and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Kirby, Sr. of 67 years, daughter, Norma Jean Gaffin, grandson, Andrew Speath, parents, and a brother, Richard Tappan.
No services to be observed per Phyllis’s wishes. Caring Cremation® to take place. Inurnment will take place in Clinton County Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130.
