Randy Allen Smith

Randy Allen Smith, 68, of Lancaster, Ohio passed away peacefully with family by his side. Randy was born to Richard Smith and Florence Hunter Frasure. He graduated from Berne Union in 1976. Randy married the love of his life, RaeJean Powell Smith in 1978 in the Washington DC Temple. They raised their three children in the Sugar Grove area. Randy was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He held many callings within the church and was involved with the scouting program.

Randy was a doting husband, father and grandfather. Any spare moment he had, he spent it with his family. He was always attending sporting events or band events for his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife RaeJean Smith; son Isaiah (Emily) Smith of Sugar Grove, Ohio, Anna Smith of Zanesville, Ohio, and Tara (August) Meyer of Lancaster, Ohio, his 8 grandchildren that he was always so proud of Kaiya (Kris) Kline, Kaden Smith, Eli Smith, Cale Meyer, Addison Meyer, Ezra Smith, Grayson Meyer and McKinley Meyer. He is also survived by two sisters, Robin (Don) Wik of Port Charlotte, Florida and Rhonda Smith of Chicago, Illinois, and sister-in-law Maryann Smith of Bloomingburg, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother Richard Smith, mother and father Florence Frasure and Richard Smith, and sister Roberta Frasure.

A viewing will be held Monday, September 7, 2026 at 6-8pm at Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, 405 N. Columbus St. Lancaster, Ohio. The funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at 10am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1071 Sheridan Dr. Lancaster, Ohio.
