Rebecca "Becky" McCann

After a life beautifully lived and deeply loved, Rebecca “Becky” McCann, of Millersport, Ohio, was called home to Heaven. Though we will miss her every day, we find comfort in believing she has found the everlasting peace she so richly deserves.

Born on June 29, 1952, Becky lived a life centered on the people she loved most. She dedicated much of her professional life to Donatos, where she worked in payroll for many years before retiring. She was respected for her dependability, kindness, and the genuine care she showed to everyone around her.

Becky had a generous heart and always put others before herself. Thoughtful, caring, and selfless, she found joy in making the people she loved feel special. She especially loved shopping and treasured the time she spent with her family. One of her favorite traditions was taking each of her grandchildren shopping for new clothes before the start of every school year—a tradition they will forever cherish. She also shared countless shopping trips with her daughter, Renee, and granddaughter, Kayla. If there was such a thing as shopping too much, they certainly had fun trying.

Becky was also an incredible cook, and nowhere was that more evident than Thanksgiving. Every year she welcomed her family into her small home, somehow finding room for everyone around the table. No one ever left Becky’s table hungry. The house was always filled with laughter, conversation, and the aroma of a home-cooked meal. Her grandchildren happily piled their plates high, often eating until they couldn’t possibly fit another bite. Those crowded Thanksgiving gatherings became some of her family’s most treasured memories.

More than anything, Becky was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her love for her family was constant and unconditional, and the memories she created will be cherished forever.

Becky will be deeply missed by her loving children, Brent McCann (Tiffeny) and Renee Francis (Kenny); her cherished grandchildren, Nicole, Kaitlynn, Haleigh, Aaron, Kayla, Evan, and Reagan; her best friend and sister, Peggy Ratcliff; her brother, Fred Haynes, along with her extended family and many dear friends.

A celebration of Becky’s life will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at noon, at the Johnson Smith Funeral Home Chapel, 207 S. Main Street, Baltimore, OH. Friends and family may visit from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Burial will follow the service at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.

Throughout her life, Becky faced every challenge with quiet courage and remarkable resilience.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Capital City Hospice or to an organization supporting Alzheimer’s dementia care or research, in honor of Becky’s life and with gratitude for the compassionate care she received.

The love Becky gave so freely will live on in the family she cherished, and her memory will continue to gather us together around tables, in shopping trips, in laughter, and in the countless traditions she created. Until we meet again, she will be deeply loved, dearly missed, and forever in our hearts.
