Rex Allen Patterson (57), was called home to the “outskirts of heaven” on August 19th, 2022.
He was born June 13th, 1965 to Jesse Edward Patterson and Edith Ann (Bennett) Patterson. Rex will always be known as a loving husband, brother, father, “PaPa” and friend. Amongst MANY other titles he carried throughout his life, he is most known for being loved by everyone who came into contact with him. He didn’t know a stranger and would give the shirt off his back without a moment of hesitation. Rex was a true country boy, farmer, (self proclaimed) veterinarian/animal lover, coach, and outdoorsman. One of Rex’s best known character traits was his amazing work ethic. He worked for Townsend Construction for 30+ years and he showed up everyday regardless of illness or situation. He was known as the family “fixer” as there was never a situation he couldn’t fix or create a solution for. Rex loved without question and in return, is loved eternally by all of those he left behind.
Rex is survived by his wife of 18 years, Laurie Lee (Hudson) Patterson; children, Loren Gomez, Christopher Gomez, Victoria (Hunter) Probasco, Samantha Lowe; grandchildren, Hazel Edith Probasco and Sawyer H. Probasco; brothers Dave (Jeong) Patterson, Rick (Linda) Patterson, Ben (Vicci) Patterson, Randy (Traci) Patterson, Paul (Dana) Patterson; as well as so many beloved nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Rex was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Edward Patterson and his sister, Shirley Ann Patterson.
