Richard “Dick” A. Benadum 93 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Fairfield Medical Center.
He started his printing career working under his father, Earl Benadum at North End Press in 1941. He then took over the family business in 1985 and owned and operated the business until turning over to his two sons in 2005. Dick continued coming into work every day to the North End Press, Inc. to see his customers and oversee the daily operations until his passing.
Dick was a member of the Lancaster Rotary Club, Lancaster Men’s Chorus, The First United Methodist Church, all Lancaster Masonic Bodies, and a long time Red Cross Blood Donor where he gave gallons of blood over the years.
He is survived by his daughters, Kris (Robb) Ingram of Carroll, Ohio and Lori Benadum; sons, Brad (Deb) Benadum and Greg (Gracie) Benadum all of Lancaster, Ohio; six grandchildren, Brandon (Jeana) Ingram, Dirk (Heather) Ingram, Megan (Eric) Lines, Heidi (Shane) Fitch, Sasha Myers, and Cameron (Rachel) Myers; nine great grandchildren; sister, Janice F. Palm of Warren, Ohio and many nieces and nephews.
Dick was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Ruth L. Benadum, parents, Earl and Emily Benadum and a sister Marion R. Miskell.
Funeral service will be held Friday, April 14, 2023 at 8:00 p.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Rev. Dr. Brian Jones officiating. Friends may visit Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Caring Cremation® to follow.
