Rita D. (Mauk) Cone

Rita D. Cone, 77, died Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Mount Carmel East.

Rita was born April 11, 1946 to John William and Betty Maxine (Snider) Mauk in Lancaster, Ohio. She graduated from Lancaster High School, and went on to complete a few college courses. Rita worked as a chemist for Abbott.

She is survived by her sons Mike (Gianna) Cone, Jr. and John (Melissa) Cone; her grandchildren Adam, Nick, Darren, Machara, and Makenna Cone; as well as many other family members.

Rita is preceded in death by her parents.

Calling hours will be held from 9 - 11 AM Saturday, June 3, 2023 at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, 405 N. Columbus St. Lancaster, Ohio 43130. The funeral service will take place at 11 AM, with Rev. Jill Dunlap presiding. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
