Robert E. "Bob" Loy

Robert E. “Bob” Loy, 90, of Amanda, passed away on November 18, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born to the late Jennings and Mary Opal Loy on July 21, 1933 in Lancaster, OH.

Bob was a proud member of the United States Army. He drove for many years for the Coca Cola Company, and enjoyed playing cards, especially Euchre at the VFW in Laurelville.

He is survived by his longtime companion and significant other, Pat Hettinger; his children, Teri Loy, Jeri (Rich) Needles, Bret (Loretta) Loy, Shawn (Susannah) Loy, Tracey (Melinda) Loy, Lisa (Nate Barnes) Loy, and D.J. (Karen) Loy; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Susan L. Loy; sons, Robert E. Loy and Shane P. Loy; two sisters; and parents.

Caring Cremation® has taken place by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME. A public graveside service is being held at Floral Hills Memory Gardens on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 11:00 am. A celebration of life will take place immediately after at the Fairfield County Fairgrounds, Ricketts Family Hall, 157 E. Fair Ave., Lancaster, OH from 12:00 pm – 3:00 p.m.
