Robert “Bob” Richard Kraft, 90 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, April 13, 2022. He was born on February 15, 1932 in Bellaire, Ohio.
Bob was a proud Korean Conflict veteran serving in the U.S. Navy aboard the LST-854. He retired from Ohio and Pacific Bell Telephone Companies.
He was a member of the Antique Tractor Club, Telephone Pioneers, AMVETS, American Legion Post #11 and a lifetime member of the VFW 1380.
Bob was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be missed by his family and friends.
He loved his farm, his family, and most of all, his precious wife Joan.
Bob is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 66 years, Joan; daughter Judy Kraft; granddaughters Jessica (Travis) Bryant of San Jose, CA and Laura (Ryan) Gil of Fresno, CA; grandson Brendon (Nicole) Tucker of Lancaster; great-grandchildren Camdyn Martinez, Casyn Martinez, Grant Tucker, Harper Bryant, London Bryant and Macy Sue Gil; close family friends, Guilers, and his forever faithful, four-legged companion, George. He was preceded in death by his brothers Jack and Bill Young.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Rev. Dr. Brian Jones of the First United Methodist Church officiating. A live broadcast of the funeral service will be hosted on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. on the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home and Crematory Facebook page.
Burial will be held in Amanda Twp. Cemetery. The Lancaster Veterans Burial Detail will conduct military rites at the cemetery. Friends may visit Friday from 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
