Roderick Roger Ford, 77, of Baltimore, Ohio passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 28, 2010, at the Pickering House. He was born December 11, 1933, in Fairfield County.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ruth Ann; sons, Jeffrey (Karen) Ford of Tyler, Texas and Gregory (Rena) Ford of Baltimore; five grandchildren, Jamie, Joshua, Sarah, Andrew, and Thomas; two great grandchildren, Jermaine Roderick and Melody; sisters, Joyce (Herbert) Robinson, Shirley (Harold) Rowand, and Barbara (Earl) Agee; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents, Raymond and Nellie Ford and brother, Harold.

Roger was a graduate of Etna High School, he served in the U.S. Army, and retired from North American Aviation and Sears Service Center. He was a member of New Zion United Methodist Church and the Baltimore Senior Citizens. His hobbies were photography, woodworking, gardening, and most of all he loved fishing.

The family would like to thank Care Tenders of Lancaster, Reverend Nancy Draves, and the staff at the Pickering House for their care and compassion.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday at New Zion United Methodist Church, 10991 Snyder Church Rd, Baltimore, Ohio 43105, with Reverend Nancy Draves officiating. Burial will follow in Union Evangelical Cemetery, Baltimore. Friends may visit from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Baltimore and one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to New Zion United Methodist Church of Baltimore.
