Rodney Ray Franke, 72, of Lancaster, passed away at Fairfield Medical Center on Monday, January 26, 2026. He was born on April 25, 1953, to the late Norman and Cathleen Franke in Lancaster, Ohio.
Rodney was known as the ‘Coffee Man’ around Lancaster. He had to start every morning with a cup of coffee from Tim Hortons, with 3 cream and 5 sugars. He worked in auto body repair for several years, specializing in fiberglass body work, especially on older Corvettes. He enjoyed working on old cars and watching old shows, such as The Andy Griffith Show. Rodney also loved sitting on his porch and watching traffic go by.
Rodney is survived by his brother, Norman (Sharon) Franke Jr.; nieces and nephews, Kristen Franke, Cathy French, Doug (Sarah) Franke, Dustin Franke, and Tim Franke, as well as several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman R. Franke Sr, and Cathleen C. (Osborne) Franke; brothers, Charles F. Franke, Richard E. Franke, Gary L. Franke, and Mick Franke; and sister, Shirley A. French.
