Sandra K. Kern, 61, of Thurston, passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2012, at the Ohio State University Medical Center.

Sandra is survived by her husband, Gary Kern; children, Scott (Cindy) Shumaker, Chad (Heidi Miller) Shumaker, Brandee Shumaker, Jenee (Andy) Kowalski, Mistee (Dan) Gaskill, Tracee Wright, and Suzee Johnson; seventeen grandchildren; and brothers and sister, Larry (Brenda) Britton, Vickie Roberts, and Terry Britten.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Royal and Martha Britton; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Raymond and Betty Kern; and brother-in-law, Tony Roberts.

Funeral service for Sandra will be held at 10:00 AM Friday at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Baltimore. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster. Family and friends may visit from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
