Sara L. Hackney

Sara L. Hackney, 80, of Lancaster, passed away on December 31, 2020. She was born to the late Paul and Mary Leslie in Columbus on July 12, 1940.

Sara was a loving mother and grandmother. She attended the First United Methodist Church in Lancaster, worked for 35 years in the district office at Fairfield Union Local Schools, and was a realtor in Lancaster and Fairfield County for many years.

She is survived by her daughters, Laura (Ron) Cullums, and Sheila (James) Waid; grandchildren, who knew her as MawMaw, Lindsey Cullums, Kristen (Brad) Mason, Tyler Waid, Alec Waid, Quentin Waid, and Spencer Waid; siblings, Robert (Debbie) Leslie, and Diane (Bill) Adkins; and many nieces and nephews.

Sara is preceded in death by her son, Steven Hackney; former husband, Charles Hackney; and parents.

Caring Cremation has taken place by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY.
