Sharon L. Hutton Kandel Morrison

January 21, 1945 — February 20, 2024

Pleasantville

Sharon Lee Hutton Kandel Morrison 79 of Pleasantville, Ohio passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2024 surrounded by her loving family at her home. She was born on January 21, 1945 in Baltimore Ohio to the late Irvin and Anna Hutton. She worked for the Farm Bureau as an executive secretary and later worked for Boeing Corporation also as an executive secretary before her retirement.

Sharon was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Lancaster and also a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Throughout the years she was involved in 4H as a member then later as an advisor with her children. She had so many passions over the years, including gardening, being in the great outdoors, sewing and traveling (there isn’t a part of the country that woman didn’t see) and loved to bake.  Spending time with her family was her favorite pastime. For all who knew her, they could count on her quick wit and ornery antics. She was always good for a smile and a laugh and was everyone’s favorite. One of her best qualities was that no matter what the situation, she had a look for everything, and you knew EXACTLY what she thought! As ornery as she could be, she was the most loving and thoughtful person. There was never a call that ended with her without you saying, “I love you” and her responding with “I love you more.”

Sharon is survived by her husband, Jim Morrison; daughter, Cori Ann (Chad) Galloway of Amanda; sons, Kyle Kandel of Reynoldsburg and Hayden (Erica) Kandel of Pleasantville; step-children, Todd Morrison of Newark and Sean (Beth) Morrison of New Albany; grandchildren, Masyn (Jamie) Wells, Kade Kandel, Christopher Kandel, Christian Galloway, Rory and Hutton Kandel, and Madison (Tommy) Murphy; step-grandchildren, Maddie and Alex Morrison and Devon and Allie Morrison; great grandchildren, Karsyn Wells, Laken and Blake Murphy; brother, John (Katrina) Hutton of Baltimore; sister, Karen (Max) McNichols of Baltimore and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Kandel, son, Eric Kandel, parents, Irvin and Anna Hutton and sisters, Martha James and Nancy McCormick, Elaine and Eileen Hutton.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, February 26, 2024 at 10:30 am at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Lancaster with Father Nicholas Droll as Celebrant.  Burial will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.  Friends may visit Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 207 S. MAIN ST., BALTIMORE, OHIO 43105 and a vigil service will be held Sunday at 7:30 pm at the funeral home.
