Sharyn Waugh

January 1, 1970 — January 1, 1970

Lancaster

Sharyn nee Carpenter Waugh left the work and worry of the world to rest in peace with the Lord on December 6, 2020 at the age of 73.

She is survived by her husband Don, to whom she was both a wife and soul mate for 55 years; daughters, Tracy (Jim) Justus, Shelly (Sam) Eggleston, and Beth Waugh; brothers and sisters, Sherman E. (Beth) Carpenter, Gregory Carpenter, Mary (Tim) Daniel, and Lisa Carpenter; grandchildren, Taz, Jewyl, Zoyie, Madison, Lauren, Noah, Dalton, and Emilie; great grandchildren, Karsen, Kylie, Silas, Aurora Lyam, and Raelynn; and literally hundreds of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Sherman “Bud” and Francis Carpenter; and one great granddaughter, Norma Jean.

A lifelong resident of Lancaster, OH, Sharyn was a graduate of Bishop Fenwick High School, a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, and a willing volunteer at St. Mary Grade School during the early education of her children. She was a hospital volunteer, Brownie leader, 4H mom, an avid sports mom, and a perfect wife. Sharyn looked forward to the sports events of her athletically gifted daughters and to watching those same talents grow in each of her grandchildren.

Although she worked many hours outside the home in sales and management for nearly 50 years, when she wasn’t working she and Don were inseparable. She created quality time for her family, her good cooking and her passion for reading. Currently, Sharyn was enjoying her retirement.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to William Fisher Catholic High School in Sharyn’s memory.

Caring Cremation has taken place by the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, and a celebration of life will take place at a later date.
