Suzanne Schooler Roberts, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed peacefully on January 2, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on February 2, 1944, in Santa Barbara, California, Suzanne spent her early years in the picturesque coastal city that she called home for many years.
Throughout her life, Suzanne held a profound devotion to her family. She treasured the role of homemaker, always providing a nurturing environment for her husband, Tom J. Roberts, and their two daughters, Kathleen (Stuart) McDermott and Michele (John) Mack. Her life revolved around the joy that her family brought her, and she took great pride in her proudest accomplishments: her daughters and grandchildren.
After spending many years in Santa Barbara, Suzanne and Tom made the significant decision to move across the country 28 years ago to be closer to their beloved grandchildren, Emma and Samuel McDermott and Clemintine Mack. This move was a testament to their commitment to family, as they desired to stay connected and involved in the lives of their growing family.
A woman of many talents, Suzanne found immense pleasure in quilting and cooking for her loved ones. Her creations were not only heartfelt but also a testament to her warmth and love for those gathered around her table.
Suzanne is survived by her dedicated husband, Tom, her daughters Kathleen and Michele, her grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews who will always hold her memory close.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clark and Pearl Rieger Schooler, and her "Uncle" Dennis "Butch" Stowell, whose memories will also be cherished by those she leaves behind.
As we remember Suzanne, we celebrate a life well lived, marked by love, dedication, and a spirit that touched everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the hearts of her family and friends.
