Tom Dupler

Tom Dupler 84 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at his residence.  He was born on June 8, 1939 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Leland and Anna Dupler. He was a graduate of Berne Union High School, graduate of Ohio University and later received his Master’s Degree from The Ohio State University.

Tom retired from the Lancaster City School District with 30 years of service as a teacher/department head and later was the co-owner of Helen’s Flowers for 34 years with his wife Rosemary before retiring again.

Tom was a lifetime member of the Sugar Grove Methodist Church where he served on many committees, a Stukey Cemetery trustee for many years and was an avid southern gospel music fan.  He was the founder of the Angelarie Gospel Teams which sang and traveled for over 30 years.  He loved gardening, flowers, collecting Farm-All-International Harvester tractors and collected southern gospel music records.   

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Rosemary Dupler, many friends, neighbors and canine companion, Lilly.  He also influenced many other lives during his life here on Earth.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sugar Grove Methodist Church with Rev. Anthony Hudson officiating.  Burial will follow in Stukey Cemetery.  Friends may visit Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 and 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
