Tom Frederick Stuck peacefully slipped the bonds of this life and returned to God on Sunday, October 4, 2026. He was surrounded by his loving wife, children, and closest friends.
He was born on March 29, 1954, in Lancaster, Ohio, to Don and Jean Stuck, Tom was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy and Mildred Stuck; his parents, Don and Jean Stuck-Monger; and his sister, Dr. Karen Stuck-Borda.
Tom is survived by his loving wife, Catherine; his sons, Thomas Frederick Stuck (Olivia) and Joseph Donald Frederick Stuck (Bernadette Henry); and his beloved grandsons, Thomas Frederick Stuck, Jr. and Eli Nicholas Stuck, who brought him immense pride and joy.
Tom, a graduate of Lancaster High School and Purdue University, was a proud third-generation business owner of Stuck Mould Works, a family enterprise that grew into Technical Foundry Systems. For more than 75 years, the Stuck family worked alongside many area residents, providing quality employment opportunities while supporting the region's glass industry and iron casting manufacturers.
Whether he was running a business, smoking barbecue, or spending time with family, Tom had a gift for bringing people together.
For the last 20 years, Tom found great joy in filling the hearts, souls, and stomachs of people throughout the region with his legendary "Best You Ever Had" BBQ. During that time, Glass City BBQ became a local favorite, operating first as a restaurant and later as a food truck. Through his food, generosity, and friendship, Tom created countless memories and lasting relationships throughout the community.
Tom's legacy will live on in the memories of all who knew him and in the hearts of those who loved him.
