Thomas C. Warren, 82, of Baltimore, passed away at his home on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. He was born in New Straitsville, Ohio, on September 1, 1943, to the late Everett and Mary Warren.
Tom met and married Mary Kathryn Rausch, and they were together for 37 years before she passed in 2019. He worked for the State of Ohio in building maintenance. If you knew Tom, you knew he spent hours in Menards and Harbor Freight. He was very excited for the new Rural King in Lancaster– the store is supposed to open July 17th, but Tom was at the store ready to shop on June 17th. He loved working in his barn and making cornhole boards for his family. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan; although he didn’t watch the games, he always asked who won or lost. His son, Mark, is a Michigan fan, but Tom refused to paint his cornhole boards Maize and Blue. Tom was the one and only member of his neighborhood watch, and he always knew what was going on around his house.
Tom went to McDonald's every single day for lunch and dinner– a hamburger, ketchup only, with a Coke Zero. The workers usually had his order ready before he walked in the door. He also really enjoyed banana pudding and blackberry pie. Above all, Tom loved and cherished his family. He was a loving father, husband, grandpa, and great-grandpa who will be missed.
Tom is survived by his children, Eva (Billy) Casto, Penny Hamilton, and Mark (Kim) Bond; 9 grandchildren, Kathryn, MacKenzie, Mason, Emily, Cameron, Brooke, Kyle, Andrew, Isaiah; 1 great-grandchild, Lorelei; siblings, Mary Morris, Jim, Bob, and Kenny Foster, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Kathryn; parents, Everett Lewis Warren Sr and Mary Garrett Dufford; siblings, Glenna Saver, Jeannette Vernon, Ralph and Everett Warren Jr, and great-grandchild, Thomas.
Per Tom’s wishes, Caring Cremation® has taken place through Frank E. Smith Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
