TRACIE LEE BUTCHER

Tracie Lee Butcher, age 60, of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2025, from the loving arms of her husband into the loving arms of her Savior at OSU Ross Heart Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Born on May 5, 1965, in Lancaster, Ohio, to the late Marla Jeanne Carr and Richard Rife. Tracie was the youngest of their four daughters.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, John Butcher; her sister, Sherrie (Rick) Vincent; brother-in-law, Maurice (Connie) Lewis; 6 grandchildren, 3 bonus grandchildren, son, Wesley (Brittani) Butcher; many nieces, nephews, dear friends and special neighbors Michelle and Bonnie Probasko. She was preceded in death her parents; son, Brandon Butcher; grandson, Brice Butcher, sisters, Shana Lewis and Elaine Asher.

Tracie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched everyone she met. Tracie loved the time she spent with John in Hawaii where she gave loving care to patients suffering from dementia at the Regency Hualalai in Kailua, Kona.

Tracie graduated from Lancaster High School in 1983. She had a passion for all animals, especially her 3 German Shepherds Lexi, Sadie, Makana. She enjoyed helping others, crafts and her Jeep.

Tracie’s legacy of love, faith in The Lord, and her quiet strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A graveside service will take place on Monday, Oct. 20, 2025 at 10:30AM all at Grandview Cemetery, 9540 Lancaster New Lexington Road Bremen, Ohio 43107 officited by Pastor Richard Boucher. Arrangements have been made through the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home.
