Virginia Meyers

Virginia M. Meyers, 88, of Lancaster, passed away on Monday, December 3, 2012, at Fairfield Medical Center.

Virginia was born October 18, 1924, in Baltimore, Ohio to the late Merrill and Mable (Bair) Hamilton. She was a member of Olivedale Senior Citizens.

Virginia is survived by her daughters, Cindy (Don) Stokes and Jennifer (John) Wellner; grandchildren, Alison (Matthew) Moss, Matthew Stokes, Joseph Meyers, Joshua Meyers, Kristin (David) Wellner-Graff, Lyndsey (Steve) Wellner-Grimes, Nicholas Wellner, and Michael Wellner; great-grandchildren, Addy Moss, Layne Moss, and Simon Moss, Noah Graff and Samuel Graff, Kinsey Meyers and Matthew Meyers, and Jesse Grimes; brothers, Donald (Connie) Hamilton and Charles (Liz) Hamilton.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Andrew Meyers; son, Joseph Allen Meyers; sister, Pauline Whittington; and brother, Edward “Short” Hamilton.

Funeral service for Virginia will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME in Lancaster with Reverend Dr. Emil H. Klatt III officiating. Burial will follow in Union Evangelical Cemetery in Baltimore. Family and friends may visit from 5-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
