Virginia Stoneburner

Virginia L. Stoneburner, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2013, at Fairfield Medical Center.

Virginia had a great sense of humor and an incredibly giving spirit - especially in her support of St. Jude Children’s Hospital. She enjoyed her plants, garden, and flowers. She had a special love for her two cats Levi and Sheba. And her greatest joy came from being a loving mother, grandmother, and sister.

Virginia is survived by her daughter, Melissa K. (Keith) Mack; sons, Shawn D. Stoneburner and Mark A. Stoneburner; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Purdue; special friends, Melissa George and Kimberly Johnson; and many friends and neighbors.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Elizabeth Griffin; brothers, William Griffin, Gary Griffin, and Tommie Griffin; and sister, Doris Maples.

Funeral service for Virginia will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Lancaster. Caring Cremation will follow. Family and friends may visit from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date in Forest Rose Cemetery.
