William "Bill" M. Anderson

William "Bill" M. Anderson, age 80, of Logan passed away January 3rd, 2026. Born, Willie Marion Anderson, on July 15, 1945 to Howard and Dorthoy (Hedges) Anderson in South Perry, Ohio.

I addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Fred Anderson, Eddie Anderson, and David Anderson, and sister Ruby Fast.

He is survived by his son, Gary (Cortney) Anderson, grandchildren, Lucas Anderson, Vincent Anderson, Cheyenne (Jeremy) Sandusky, Justin (Lissbeth) Anderson, great grandchildren, Carl, Cleo, Waylon, and Thalia; also surviving are his siblings, Cleona (Bobby) Willard, Jeff (Cathy) Anderson, John (Chris) Anderson, and Richard Anderson, and several nieces and nephews.

Bill was a proud Army Veteran and loved classic cars. He enjoyed going to the lake as often as he could and sitting in the sun watching the eagles fly.  

Bill was a very kind man, always sharing a smile.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

The family would like to thank the Veterans Administration for the many years of dedicated health care, Fairhope Hospice and the Pickering House and all the staff there for their kindness and care for Bill.  Home Instead for the care and compassion they gave to Bill every day. A special thank you to Kyra for her support, dedication and care to Bill.

A celebration of his life will be held at Izaak Walton Lodge, 29740 Blosser Rd. Logan Ohio 43138 from Noon to 4PM Sat, February 7th, 2026.  Military honors by the Hocking County Veteran Burial Detail will be performed at 1PM in honor of Bill serving in the Army from 1963 until 1969.
