William "Bill" Fairchild

William “Bill” Fairchild, Sr. 79 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021 at his residence.  He was a retired postal clerk for the Columbus Post Office with 29 years of service.  He enjoyed woodworking and was a big OSU Buckeye fan.

Bill is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mindora; son, William Fairchild, Jr. of Lancaster, Ohio; daughter, Stephanie (John) Kelley of Thornville, Ohio; grandchildren, Curtis Davis and Aaron Davis both of Newark, Ohio; brother, David (Becky) Fairchild of Lancaster, Ohio; sister, Patricia Fairchild of Lancaster, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Richmond and Judy Elliott both of Defiance, Ohio and Jean Fairchild of Sugar Grove, Ohio; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Sam (Connie) McDaniel of Celina, Ohio and Rusty (Betsy) McDaniel of Wellston, Ohio; several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Irene Fairchild, brother, Jack Fairchild and a niece, Stacy Fairchild.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., Lancaster, Ohio 43130 with Rev. Kevin Chambers officiating.  Burial will be held in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may visit 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
