Wilma J. Wallis

Wilma J. Wallis, 79, of Baltimore, Ohio, passed away at her home on October 8, 2026. She was born on June 23, 1947, to Barbara and the late William “Junior” Howdyshell.

Wilma was a member of Pickerington Baptist Church, along with her husband. She enjoyed collecting cookie jars, amassing a collection of 114 over the years. She also loved to travel with her family, with Hawaii and Alaska being two of her favorite destinations. Wilma had an outgoing personality that could strike up a conversation with anyone she met. She truly never met a stranger.

She is survived by her husband, Eugene Wallis; sons, Eric (Kelley) Wallis, Greg (Carrie) Wallis and Benn Wallis (Kimberely Brown); grandchildren, Tae’Lyn, Brooklyn, Jonah, Dimitrique, Camille, Avery, Troyston and Cecily; great granddaughter, Madelynne; mother, Barbara Howdyshell; siblings, Naomi, Linda, Harvey, Terry, Tim, Stephen, Carolyn, Dorothy; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, William “Junior” Howdyshell, and siblings, Nancy Rowley (Howdyshell), Jerry Howdyshell and Joan Underwood (Howdyshell);

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Micah Rice will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at 1 PM at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, 207 S Main St., Baltimore, OH 43015. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
