Obituary

Arthur “Pete” Van Atta, 61, of Lancaster, passed away on May 15, 2023 at Fairfield Medical Center. He was born on January 9, 1962 to the late Blaine and G. Maxine Van Atta of Crooksville, OH.

Pete was enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, rock n’ roll, and football. He worked for 20 years at Glasfloss Industries. He never knew a stranger and was a supportive father, papaw, and caring significant other.

He is survived by his daughter, Alisha (Phillip) Moore; granddaughter, Mackenzie Moore; sister, Ann (Kenton) Weaver; niece and nephew, Barbara and Ryan (Pam) Weaver; and significant other, Hayley Knisley.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents; and granddog, Boo-Boo Moore.

Caring Cremation has taken place by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME. A celebration of life service will take place at a later date.
