Betty L. (Ledford) Handshey

Betty L. Handshey, age 75 of Lancaster, died Jan 27th, 2023 at the Pickering House. She was born to the late Hal and Stase Lemezyte Ledford in Germany.  She worked for Archer-Meek-Weiler Ins. and then was an owner and operator of Easy Towing with her husband, Mark Handshey for over 25 years.  Halloween was Betty’s favorite holiday. She enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds, loved having good times with her family, friends, and two Great Danes, Pearl and Stormy.  Betty’s amazing love for life and personality will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Mark Handshey; children, Cheyenne Boggs, Shawn Handshey, and Anne Jeanette (Tony) Masterson; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Alexis, Zane, Andrew, Angel, and Ciara; special friend, Haley; sisters, Judy (Bruce) Emond and Linda (Tim) Hallinan; and nephews, Kevin and Eric.
