Burton Hobson

Burton Hobson 85 of Baltimore, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at the Ganzhorn Suites Specialized Memory Care in Powell, Ohio.

He was a US Army veteran and a retired machinist for National Can Company.

Burton is survived by; son, Burton (Rhonda) Hobson; daughters, Margaret (Raymond) Robinson and Joyce (Brian) Kemmerly; grandsons, David (Beka) Hobson, Scott Kemmerly, Andrew Robinson, Kevin (Stephanie) Howell; granddaughters, Brooke Robinson, Oliva (Janson) Bowers, Angela Kemmerly, Ciera (Ben) Bierbaugh, great grandchildren, Lillian Sims, Charlotte Sims, and AJ Howell, Lincoln Morgan, Naomi Hobson and Eli Howell; sisters, Viola Stewart and Opal Ruff; brothers, John (Mitzi) Hobson, Joe Hobson, Donnie (Barbara) Hobson, Kenny Hobson and Larry (Paula) Elliott and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Mary E. Hobson, parents, Charley and Bessie Hobson grandson, Thomas Hobson, brothers, Robert Lee Newsome and Foyster Newsome, sisters, Vadnie Elliot and Elizabeth Newsome.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 207 S. MAIN ST., BALTIMORE, OHIO 43105 with Rev. Jill Dunlap officiating.   A live broadcast of the funeral service will be hosted on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. on the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home and Crematory Facebook page. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Baltimore, Ohio.  Friends may visit Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
