Elizabeth Ann (Prucinsky) Fisher

July 17, 1965 — April 22, 2022

Lancaster

Elizabeth Ann Prucinsky Fisher, 56 of Lancaster, Ohio passed peacefully Friday April 22, 2022, at Fairfield Medical Center with her family at her bedside.  She battled Interstitial Lung Disease for four years, and survived two episodes of ARDS, this last ARDS episode was too much for her to overcome.  She was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 2009 and Interstitial Lung Disease in 2019.  Throughout her battle with these terrible diseases, she never let it get her down.  Her faith in Christ and her will to live was an inspiration to all that knew her, as she lived through this with grace, compassion, and dignity.  She had many friends that she was a mentor to locally, and to many on Parkinson’s and Interstitial Lung Disease pages on Facebook.  Ann had a contagious laugh and a tender way about her that people gravitated to.  Ann was always the party starter and the spark to a room.

Ann was a mother to all, whether it be her own children, her grandchildren, family members, friends or animals.  She was there to love them and help them in any way possible.   Her greatest gift was the ability to share her love of people and life.  It is this attribute that above all that we ask you to come and celebrate with us.

Ann worked as a teacher’s aid in the Lancaster School system for seventeen years before going on disability in 2016.   Ann loved working with the MH and ED students.

Ann is survived by her husband and soulmate of 32 years Jim Fisher; children Bobby (Evette)Fisher and Olivia (Micah) Long; grandchildren Jameson Long and Kimber Long: siblings Mark (Carol) Prucinsky, Laura (Ed) Hebb, and Barb (Dave) McCoy; sister-in-law Janet Fisher Winland; many nieces and nephews; her animals and constant companions Emma, Ella, Cheech, and Tot.

She is proceeded in death by her parents Gertrude (Gertie) Prucinsky and her father Robert (Bob) Prucinsky, brother Jeff Prucinsky, and brother-in-law Dave McCoy.

A special note of thanks to the medical professionals at Fairfield Medical Center PCU/ICU, Fairfield Pulmonary & Critical Care Associate Group, The Ohio State Center for Neuromodulation, and the Department of Psychiatry at The Ohio State College of Medicine, and the Physical and Occupational Therapists from Nina’s Healthcare. These professionals provided the highest level of care, compassion, and love anyone could hope for.  Also, a very special thank you to her nursing aid and pal Melissa Barnett.

A Celebration of Life Service, officiated by Pastor Mark Radditz, will be held at Noon on Saturday, May 7, at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 231 E Mulberry St, Lancaster, Ohio.  Following the service there will be a party, welcome to all, at the Lancaster Midtown apartment complex, 1300 Community Way, Lancaster, OH.  The gathering will be at the party room near the pool.

In lieu of flowers please give to one of Ann’s favorite causes; Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, The Michael J. Fox Foundation, Lancaster Fairfield County Charity Newsies, or your local Humane Society.
