Evelyn (Kinser) Lape

Evelyn Lape, age 81 of Carroll, Ohio former resident of Lancaster, Ohio passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021 in the presence of her Lord surrounded by her loving family.  She had been blessed with 37 years of marriage to her husband Dan.  The highlight of her life was spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren and their many travels together over the years.  Evie loved her Lord and shared the gospel with her family.  Her favorite hobbies were gardening, working puzzles, and spending evenings on her front porch.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Jack) LaVeck of Carroll, Ohio; grandchildren, Samantha Harper and Collin LaVeck, aunts, Millie Rutherford and Mary Lou Stumph, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest “Dan” Lape, daughter, Gwendolyn Harper, son-in-law, Michael Harper, parents, Boyd and Ruth Kinser, sister, Carol Dupler, brother, Russell Kinser and brother-in-law, Don Dupler.

Funeral service will be held Friday, May 7, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Pastor Mike Wyatt officiating. A live broadcast of the funeral service will be hosted on Friday, May 7, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. on the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home and Crematory Facebook page. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster, Ohio. Friends may visit Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
