Gary R. Reef Sr. passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Embassy of Pickerington. He graduated from Liberty Union, class of ’64. Gary proudly served in the USMC for 4 years.

He was a hard worker all his life. He was a very active member at VFW Post 3761, where he served in various capacities including Commander from 1975-1976, 2005-2008, and 2009-2010.

Gary is survived by his daughter, Trish (Ed) Conrad; sons, Gary R. (Jean) Reef Jr. and Adam Reef; special fave, Carrie (Bill) Gaskill; eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Jo Reef; former wife, Judy Reef; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Martha Littrell; father, Ralph Reef; sister, Connie Steele; brother, Tom Reef; first wife, Marion Hoffman; and fiancé, Cinda Duggan.

A funeral service will take place on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 12 PM in the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 207 S. Main St., Baltimore, OH 43105. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Family and friends can visit from 2-4 PM and again from 6-8 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
