Jo Ann (Cattran) Scott

Jo Ann Scott, 86, of Lancaster, passed away Friday, September 17, 2021 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.  She was born on October 13, 1934 to the late Orrie and Dorothy Cattran.

Jo Ann was the office manager at Taylor Chevrolet for many years and later a real estate agent.

Jo Ann is survived by daughters Becky Scott, Cindy (Eric) Moore, and son Rusty (Tami) Scott; grandchildren Joshua (Lindsey) Moore, Jeremy (Nikki) Moore, and Kyla Scott; great grandchildren Maddox, Sadie and Hope; brothers Bill (Rita) Cattran and Rev. Jim Cattran and many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother David Cattran and sister-in-law Marilyn Cattran.

Mom had a passion for knitting beautiful gifts for her family.  She also loved music, especially Nat King Cole and the Gaithers.  She especially enjoyed watching her huge collection of Gaither Homecoming videos as well as the Ohio State Buckeyes, Reds, Indians and going to her grandchildren’s sports games.  She played organ and piano, and enjoyed sharing her piano with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She also played the organ for many years at Sixth Avenue Methodist Church.

The family would like to thank FairHoPe Hospice nurse Mary and special friend Lori Bigham for their love and care of Jo Ann.

Funeral service will be held Friday, September 24, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Chaplain Mark Linn officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.  Friends may visit Thursday from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
