Leona May (Denton) Bonato

Leona May “Lee” “Boots” Bonato (nee Denton), 94, of Lancaster, passed away on July 10, 2021 at the Pickering House. She was born to the late Claude and Lestie Denton on July 7, 1927 in Lancaster.

Leona is survived by her son, Terry G. (Valerie) Pence; daughter, Margaret “Peggy” Michalski; loving grandchildren, Vicki (Dan Brandt) Michalski, Chris (Lauren) Michalski, and Monica Pence; and great grandchildren, Ethan Michalski and Reed Michalski.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ray W. Bonato; brother, Harvey Denton; sisters, Maxine Nixon, Helen “Tootie” Latimer; Phyllis “Toni” Dent; and Lestie “Peggy” Radvonausky; and her parents.

Caring Cremation has taken place by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, and a graveside service will take place on Monday, July 19, 2021 at 10:30 AM in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster.
