Lewis Fenton Larrick

Lewis Fenton Larrick, age 98 of Lancaster, formerly of Baltimore, Ohio went home to the Lord at 3:59 a.m. on Friday, April 16, 2021.  He was born to the late Kathryn and William Larrick in Lynchburg, OH on November 23, 1922.

Lewis lived in Baltimore, Ohio for many years and was the owner of the former K & K Market where he made many friends over the years and the kids referred to him as the “Candy Man” because of the penny candy counter where he always threw in a little extra, he often opened up the store in the middle of the night when the fire department had an overnight call and needed drinks and food for the fire fighters that were out on the call. He always had a smile and a conversation to be had with customers when they’d stop in to pick up their reserved Sunday newspaper or a dip of the best homemade hard dipped ice cream.

Lewis is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 55 years Peggy; children Sandra Riley of Fredericktown, OH; Danny (Martha) Larrick of Peachtree City, GA;  Terry Beck of Mt.Vernon, OH; James (Cheree) Beck of Middleburg, FL; Kevin (Joyce) Larrick of Amanda, OH; and Kathryn (Ben) Turley of Baltimore, OH. Special Family Linda & Ron Kauffman of Canal Winchester, OH and his long time little buddy, his dog Buckeye “Bucky”.

Grandchildren Scott Riley, Laura Riley, Kimberly (Warren) Axelrod, Vanessa Larrick, Stephanie (Jesper) Mikkelsen, Kaitlin (Alicia) Beck-Davis, Nathan (Courtney) Beck, Jennifer (Dylan) Murphy, Kandace (George) Parker, Krista Stebelton, and Maggie (fiancé Nick Cook) Turley.

Great-Grandchildren Miriam, Leah, Moshe and Yosef Axelrod, Morgan Stebelton, Mason Parker, Zoe Murphy, Temperance Davis, Artemis Beck and Ida Mikkelsen.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters Charlotte Miller-Childers, Elizabeth “Babe” Runkle, and his brother Elbert Larrick and great granddaughter Ava Stebelton.

No memorial events are scheduled at this time, Caring Cremation® will be handled by Johnson-Smith Funeral Home, Baltimore, Ohio and the family encourages memorial gifts be made in his name to FairHoPe Hospice, 282 Sells Rd., Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
