Marjorie L. (Miller) Johnson

Marjorie L. Johnson, age 89 of Rushville, died August 28, 2021. She was born in Berne Twp. on Jan 26, 1932 to the late Arthur and Alta Snyder Miller.  She loved living on a farm, raising her children, and spending time with her family and friends.  She helped raise most of the neighboring children and was always known as “Mom” even by them.  Her pies and homemade noodles were the best around and remembered to this day by anyone who sampled them.  Her amazing personality and love for life will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children, Joy (Jeff) Jackson, Van (Molly) Johnson, Mark Johnson, and Brian Johnson; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bob Johnson; daughter, Judy Rutter; son, Dan Johnson; siblings, Elizabeth, Ester, Eidith, Richard and George.

A funeral service will take place on Thursday at 10:30AM at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Paul Wymer.  Burial will follow the service at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.   Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4PM until 6PM.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Marjorie’s name to FairHoPe Hospice 282 Sells Rd.
