Raymond A. “Raisin” George, age 96 of Baltimore died August 28th 2021 at Buckeye Care and Rehabilitation. He was born in Pleasantville to Robert K. George and Mary C. Friesner George on Nov. 8, 1924.  After serving in the Navy in WWII he was a mechanic for Lancaster Implement and then the Lanc. Water Dept.  He was known as “Raisin” to classmates and farmers throughout Fairfield County.

He is survived by daughters, Penny West, Bonnie (Roger) Nash, and Pam George; son Kenneth R. George; 4 grandchildren; 6 grandchildren; brother, Robert L. George; and many nieces and nephews.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, his 1st wife, Edith Miller George; 2nd wife Bernice Oliver George; brothers, Clarence “Abe” (Marveen) George, Herbert (Jean) George, sister Esther (George) Gordon and sister in law Kay George.

Per his request Caring Cremation has taken place through the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home.  A private graveside service at Floral Hills Memory Gardens with Military Honors will take place at a later date.  Donations can be made to a charity of your choice.  Online condolences can be made at www.funeralhome.com
