Rick "Turtle"  Beaty
Lancaster - Rick "Turtle" Beaty, age 56 of Lancaster, passed away June 13, 2021 at his residence.  He was born in Lancaster on Feb. 8, 1965.  He was a fireman through and through.  He was a Lt. at Greenfield Twp. Fire Dept. and then served 25 yrs with the Columbus Division of Fire at Station 10.  He loved riding motorcycles putting over 140k miles on his Electra Glide, he was also a member of the Ohio 4x4 trail riders.  Rick was an amazing son, father, grandfather, and friend who was always there for anyone in need.  His amazing personality and wit will be greatly missed by all.
Rick was survived by his son, John (Jordan Sweetman) Beaty; grandson, Dawson Beaty; mother, Billie Beaty; siblings, Dave and Chris (Melissa) Beaty; niece and nephew, Lindesey and Seth Beaty; and better half, Martina Dowden;
He was preceded in death by his father, James Richard Beaty; and grandparents, John and Mary Beaty and Lulu and Lloyd Thornton.
