Robert Eugene Tyler

Robert E. Tyler, age 93, of Lancaster passed away Sat. May 7, 2022.  He was born in Pleasantville on Aug. 30, 1928 to the late Joseph N. and Mabel Bordas Tyler.  He was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church and Olivedale Senior Citizens.  He retired as a supervisor from Anchor Hocking after 43 years.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and his love for life and amazing personality will be greatly missed.

Robert was survived by his daughter, Karen T. (Dick) Sheehan; son, Stephen (Frances) Tyler; 10 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; brothers, Richard (Joan) Tyler, and Phillip Tyler; daughter-in-law, Shirley Tyler; sister-in-law, Phyllis Tyler, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty “Lou” Thomas Tyler; daughter, Cheryl L. Tyler; son, Robert Jeffrey Tyler; parents; brother, Thomas Tyler; sister-in-law, Rose Marie Tyler.

A funeral service will take place on Thursday, May 12, at 1PM at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Nathan Loudon.  Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memory Garden.  Family and friends may visit from 12 until 1PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
