Robert G. "Bob" Boelk Sr.

Robert G. “Bob” Boelk Sr., 88, of Lancaster, went Home to be with the Lord on August 30, 2021. He was born in Littlefork, MN to the late George and Lilly Boelk on September 1, 1932.

Bob was a proud member of the United States Air Force. While in the military, he was a part of SAC, working as a jet mechanic on B-52 Bombers. After his military service, Bob worked for Anchor Hocking as a mold maker. After retiring from Anchor Hocking, Bob worked for Karshner’s Sales as a cabinet maker and installer. He loved the Lord, and was a member of the Faith Baptist Church.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley Boelk; children, Robert (Heidi) Boelk Sr., Brian L. (Angela) Boelk, and Cindy (Mark) Swinehart; grandchildren, Nathan (Diane) Boelk, Ashley (John) Yadeski, Jordan (Crystal) Boelk, Seth (Samantha) Boelk, Sophie Boelk, Bethany (Mike) Miller, Elizabeth Swinehart, and Gus Swinehart; twelve great grandchildren; siblings, Lorraine Jarve, Arnold (Carla) Boelk, Harold (Cheryl) Boelk, and William (Betty) Boelk; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Clyde Boelk; and parents.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Larry Maddux will take place at 1 PM on Friday, September 3, 2021 at Faith Baptist Church, 2205 Lancaster-Circleville Rd, Lancaster, OH 43130. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Family and friends may visit from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Thursday at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME 405, N. Columbus St., Lancaster, OH 43130.
